This oak tree had been in decline for many years. When we were called in to remove it, it was a clear danger to surrounding gardens, with a number of large branches already having fallen off.
Due to the confined working area, the tree had to be rigged down using pulleys and slings. This technique lessens the impact on the garden by carefully controlling the removal of timber from the tree trunk using ropes.

This job involved the removal of a 90ft beech tree with the aid of a mobile crane, the tree was at the front of the property and had been deemed a danger by Birmingham City Council.
Due to the size and location of the tree, we decided to use a mobile crane. by using a crane, it makes the job a lot safer and enables us to dis-mantle it a lot quicker.

At this location in Moseley, we were asked by the homeowner to inspect a mature beech tree that was giving him cause for concern.
Upon inspection, the tree was quickly diagnosed as having a fungal root decaying condition known as Ganoderma.
Because of the potential implications this decay would have on the tree i.e (sudden failure), we quickly sought and received permission from Birmingham city council to remove it as soon as possible.
